Hey there! First off we’d just like to apologize for the very low number of posts as of recent, we’ve simply been too busy advancing and building the game. The advancements we’ve done over the past two weeks has really been huge and the game is coming along in a speed like never before. We’re currently focused on polishing a few select parts of the game so that we can try out different concepts and how the mechanics of the game can be integrated and intertwined with its different segments. More concretely, we’ve implemented several new vehicles to roam and perform tasks on the tarmac, better AI for the passengers roaming the terminal and improved the algorithms and textures making up the generation of the terrain areas.
Our test airport is really starting to show signs of busy airport life. Passengers come and go, catching their flights as a result of employees performing their jobs including everything from check-in, security and boarding to driving patrol cars, fuel trucks and baggage trolleys. We have so much new stuff to show you and we can’t wait to do it, but in order to perfectly deliver you our vision of the game we want to create, we want to make sure that the media we put out is flawless. But trust us… we are getting there, fast.
Sadly, however, we’re now back in school and have to take our studies into consideration as well. This does hopefully not mean that we have to pull back on the development speed too much and since we’ve managed to get across a number of steep hills it’s actually mostly “down hill” development that needs to be done, easy leg work. Until our next update, enjoy this picture of passenger luggage currently implemented and carried around in the world of Airport CEO. Cheers!
