It’s the first of March and the Airport CEO development is progressing at a steady pace. We are working very, very agile and while the code is undergoing major overhauls such as redesigning the building system and the implementation of object pooling principles to make things more efficient, smooth and gameplay ready we are also working on implementing core features in to the management life cycle!

An important aspect of being a CEO is surrounding yourself with the right people.

When you’re new on the job and you’re running a small airport it’s important to make the right decisions on who to hire. As the acting CEO, you’ll be supplied with powerful tools to make these decisions. When you review potential applicants you’ll be presented with their resume and their primary skills. Candidates with higher skills and a more impressive resume usually have a higher salary claim and so you need to weigh the different trade-offs. The better the relevant skills of the candidate, the better they will perform at their job and the better service they’ll give to the airport and its passengers which will ultimately affect you airport rating.

When the airport grows and when you find yourself lacking time or interest in managing every hire you can subsequently hire an HR director. However, make sure that you hire someone competent because the skill of the person in charge on the hiring will have an indirect effect on the skill of everyone they hire. Don’t worry, you’ll still have the final say as to when you will hire more people but with an HR director the process will be automated.
